Bringing Cliches to Life

Well, Hillary Clinton is working hard to manifest every unpleasant cliche about women: she is mercurial–proud to be next to Obama one moment and excoriating him the next. She is shrill, shaking her finger like an over-wrought school marm. She appears to suffer from penis envy–inviting him behind the barn in Ohio to have a “real” debate. She lambasts Obama’s eloquence and resorts to sarcasm where she cannot compete. And she has supported WJC and the whole NAFTA catastrophe in the past. Guess it depends on the meaning of is is.

I continue, however, to wonder of both candidates, indeed of every member of
Congress who now strides forward to sack Bush et al why nothing has been heard from them for most of GWB’s disastrous and dishonest two terms. Why didn’t Ted Kennedy come up front and argue against the war? Why wasn’t Clinton or Obama telling us about Extraordinary Rendition? Why didn’t McCain mention the internal spying programs? Why has no one in Congress insisted that Gitmo be examined? And closed.

It seems fairly clear that the upcoming nomination and election has clearly sharpened the umbrage capacity of all these politicians. And the country deserves better.

A lot is riding on the upcoming debate in Cleveland. Hillary is under pressure to attack Obama. (Ask husband Bill how she reacts to pressure?)
The upcoming primaries in OH and TX have signs of being the tell tale finale to Hillary’s big adventure.
You never can tell about that. The pundits have misjudged her before.

These debates really make me nervous. Always wondering which face HC will have on. But you are right: there is much riding on this one.

Obama’s team has cut off all contact with the media until after the debate…his group is well aware of what a macacca incident could do.

    Amen to that.

BO continues to paly the pied piper and draw away support for Hillary as we head into big delegate primarys of OH and TX.
Millions are being spent on tv ads in TX…for me…I am over tired of the silly season.
Both BO and the desparate housewife says they are ready for the Presidency..”FROM DAY ONE!”
Well, if she runs the office like she has campaigned…God help us!

I’m loving every minute of it.

The polls depict a sad picture for the desparate housewife as the voting in TX, OH come to a close tomorrow (Tues). She continues to lose ground as BO turns his negatives into positive leads.

This, I believe, will be a long day.

Rush Limbaugh is shouting for all TX repubs to go to the polls today and vote for (ugh) The Desparate Housewife..as a strategy to keep her in the race for delegates so she and BO can keep the blood flowing between them in the dem fighting cage! It may work…or with the luck of the Clintons..it could backfire.
Righty talking heads are all waving this banner to fight off the nausea and vote for her.

In my state, Repubs will not let non-registered Repubs vote in primaries; the dems let anyone vote. I think allowing crossover and strategy votes in primaries is a major perversion of the intention of voting.

In Texas..the dem primary is a circus..one can vote twice! They vote and then after the polls close the precencts caucas and vote again. One can carry this forward to their national convention where..one could possible..vote again!
My gosh…with so many times to register a vote, can you not wonder if a flood of funny business can happen! Screwy fershure!
In one location…an Obama follower got into it with a Clinton devotee and the law had to break up the fight! Egads!
The DNC did not let any votes count in Florida or Michigan because they changed their primary dates and the DNC did not approve. Now, Hillary wants their votes to count!
Is this the party we need running the country? Just wondering?

Well, old dear, we surely do not need the Repubs to run it any longer.
