Well, well, the US government can bail out Bear Sternes but, according to Republican presumed candidate McCain, will surely not attempt to lend a hand to careless middle class home owners who signed on for mortgages unprepared for gas tank fill-ups at $3+ a gallon and job layoffs thanks to the economy of an administration determined to fill the pockets of the already rich.

Hillary continues her greedy manipulation of the election process, apparently working backstage to “correct” Nancy Pelosi’s laudable notion that the final Democrat candidate should actually be the person who goes into the convention with the most delegates. Shame on Pelosi for confusing the US for a democracy, eh? Shame on Clinton for being in an egocentric tizzy to grab the nomination and, in the process, handing the election to a John McCain who has toadied so long and so thoroughly that he has become as repulsive as Bush. This fellow, who cannot tell the difference between Sunnis and Shiites, who admits to having no facility with economic matters, and whose BIG card–international affairs—promises to evolve as (to cite Keith Olbermann) the third Bush term is quite likely to win the election because Hillary Clinton cannot allow herself to care more for the country than for her own vanity.

And why the flurry to re-do the DCCC’s admittedly ill-conceived rule that excludes delegates from michigan and Florida because they held primaries earlier than mandated by the Committee. These two state parties violated the ruling. Would there be this flap over their delegates if HRC were not losing? It is surely instructive to observe that part of her manipulations of the system that one can see.  I hope her supporters are proud.

The RNC could not have planned it better! The dems are spilling blood (theirs) as the delegate fight continues.
Bubba (Bill) has his perfect solution…forget the caucasuses (which Obama scored high) and just count the primary votes! (Dahling Hil would win!)
Get real Billery…you and the frustrated housewife have been rejected by the dem elite..ie: T. Kennedy, Speaker Pelosi, Gov. Bill Richardson and Sen. Dodd to name a few. The dems want her OUT!
BO’s favorite minister just keeps popping up and BO keeps apologising for him. (But he had no such feeling for his own grandmother!) Shameless behaviour and shabby treatment of a close family member.
More and more comes out as we find out what makes BO tick and if he is someone that would be electable for the top job in America.
For those tortured individuals that placed unfettered faith in BO without waiting out a reasonable amout of time so that more was known about this unknown personna, I extend my sympathys, as you must be severely bruised.

Balderdash, my friend. And why do you persist in misreading what Obama said about his grandmother? Bizarro. But I appreciate the comment and applaud you on your imprecation to Billary.

I tend to judge politicians with a jaundiced eye, but I do admire a will to fight like a tiger when everyone thinks you are down for the count.
The whole world has turned on Hillary…the main stream media has a new ’savior’ in BO..the dem party hacks have lined up and shouted in unison that she should go away.
If she stays the course and fights like the banshee that Bubba says she is and takes this fight to the floor of the convention, I will have to adjust my bore sight and look upon her in a new and different light.
This could take us back to the ‘good olde days’ of convention politics with a big delegate floor fight with tv cameras all over the place..what a deal!

I’m not sure that determination in the face of all signs she is not wanted is a virtue. But I have a difficult time even feigning evenness about HRC.

She’s just a whisp of a girl looking for a job!

I keep on trying to like BO, but as time goes on, he is either deaf and dumb or he is simply dodging the truth about what he knew about his pastor the looney Rev. Wright!
There has been more than one occasion when BO has had to retrace his steps and make re-statements of his past remembrances. Loads of baggage is building up for BO.
One can simply overlook it, explain that he is mis-understood and taken out of context or, as Rev. J. ‘Wacky-Doodle’ Wright says..he just..”says things in order to get elected..after all he is just another politician!” Amen brother.

Tex, how would you like to be pilloried because you and I are online friends? Were geography You ready for people to blame you for my ideas?

  • 9 Tex // May 4, 2008 at 6:20 pm

If I had been very personal and a close confidant of yours for over 20 years, and your ideas had an element of radicalism…I would expect to be pilloried! It is simple. BO should have recognized early on the Rev. Wacky-Doodle was bad news…Oprah did! Is she more aware than BO in paying attention to those that are part of an inner circle?
C’mon Puffin…get real for crying out loud!
Your NC primary is Tuesday and BO is expected to take it. If this one doesn’t roll right for the man he really is in dire straits and off course.
