Let’s deal with the exotic animal in the orange lounge chair over in the corner and be done with it.

Some people will not vote for Barack Obama because he is Black.

I have a friend, otherwise a stellar woman, who will not vote for Obama because he is Black.

To those like this who loathe George Bush for what he has made of this country, who stand for the policies and approaches for which Obama stands, who cannot abide McCain and his Alaskan Barbie, and who areagainst the war in Iraq; who actually advocate talking to the so-called “enemies” of America; who wants the tax breaks for the wealthy made to disappear and laments what NAFTA wrought….like tax incentives to move jobs out of the country. For all those who want the best for this country but who feel some higher ancestral power forbidding them to vote for a Black. . . .

Shame on you. You are part of a generation that must die before America can truly celebrate the best that is in us.

Too bad our ancestors did not enslave a bunch of bald men and dishonest women so you could refrain from voting for McCain and Palin.

But shame on you for seeing Black before hearing the best that this country has heard in several decades.You may cost us dearly. And what will you have? A lily white administration that is as inept and simplistic and fraudulent and unaware as the one we now have. And you will have lost the solace of thinking yourselves patriotric. Face it, you care more for racism than for America. Shame on you.
