Puffin’s Place

Well, I lost an internet friend today over current politics. I’m not sure what has happened to good old American give and take over these matters, but because I told him I would not listen to several McCain ads that he forwarded because I found McCain to be a liar, he delivered unto to me a verbal thrashing. This after I had read a half-dozen anti-Obama articles in sites he had sent me.

And, smarting from the above, I then come home to hear CNN’s broadcast of McCain’s statement about the failure of today’s bailout vote in the House. In this statement, McCain observes how Obama and the Democrats have injected politics into the bailout issue!!!!!!!

Who is going to remind Magoo that it was he who whirled off to DC to save the troops! Who will remind him that there appeared to have been a deal struck until the Great Martyr hit town.

I do not know enough about economics to even hazard a thought on the current problems. But I do trust my ears and my brain, and McCain is both a liar himself and a creator of liars in his campaign members and his laughable selection of a vp who confuses an overflight by Putin with foreign affairs experience.

How difficult it is to remember those days when I admired and trusted McCain. These days, I would rather hear GWB’s curious voice than the lipless incantations to strange gods of Mr. McCain.
