Ann Coulter is a great example of casual cruelty. One wonders what pleasure she gets out of such ugly unpleasantness as that she fired at the incoming President’s wife the other night. One ought to be sorry for her, I suppose, but I would rather like to introduce her to a filled kitty litter box.
Israel: when will we get a leader who will tell Israel some hard truths? My info tells me the US and Great Britain arranged the nifty creation of Israel in Palestinian land. How does that make the concerns of the Palestinians unimportant? Gotta say, my limited time in the middle east gave me nothing to especially like about Israel and a great deal to admire and be grateful for about Egypt. And, aside from personal memories, how does anyone think the world can carve a chunk out of the Palestinian’s homeland for another country–and a rather self-aggrandizing one at that–without expecting some hard feelings.
Carolyn Kennedy: I am puzzled. What goads her to seek so public and “foreign” an office? At least she is a New Yorker, I guess, so that trumps her uncle’s and HRC’s runs. But I think Carolyn could be way more useful as an outside commentator and conscience than as one more member of a Senate that has been undistinguished for decades. She is cool. She is admirable. But her obligations do not include being savaged by the press daily.
Obama and economics: We have 8 years of GWB to prove that the country can be destroyed. Can we not wait until Obama is in office to decry his inability to save it? I hear CNN’s folk say he will be seen as responsible if the stimulus he proposes does not work. Go figger. We let Chaney and Bush leave to their respective home rather than to prison where they belong, but we threaten President Obama with the fires of hell if he does not turn around the GWB administration’s nonsense–financial and otherwise–in short order.
On Feinstein: duh. She voted with Bush and now she reverses herself for Obama. Who voted for her for leadership?

Hi Puff!
Happy New Year! I often refer to Coulter as the pitbull of the Republican party.

That’s terribly insulting to bull dogs, Vern. Hope your venture is continuing to do well. Feel free to drop a link to it here.
